Note: in most movies the actors are not ice-skaters - don't be disappointed by the obviousness of their beginner level, even if producers try hiding it.

Goon (2011)
Summary:
A polite and kind bar bouncer becomes an enforcer for a minor league hockey team. The movies follow his increasing popularity, romantic relationship, and complex interactions with teammates.
Goon: Last of Enforcers (2017)
Summary:
The sequel of the Goon movie... He is married, with a baby on his way, but also sidelined after one too many hits...
Miracle (2004)
Summary:
Based on a true story, this hockey movie follows the US men ice hockey team that won the 1980 Winter Olympics opposite the Soviets against all odds.
Red Army (2014)
Summary:
Dramatized story of the Soviet Union national hockey team through the eyes of team captain Slava Fetisov. It enters into the links between politics and sports.
The movie uses archival footage.
Slap shot (3 movies : 1977 / 2002 / 2011)
Summary:
The original movie depicts a minor league ice hockey team without much success. It starts playing violent to gain popularity.
They made 2 sequels.
Mystery Alaska (1999)
Summary:
The fictional small-town of Mystery gets over-excited when its amateur hockey team gets chosen for a televised event.
The mighty ducks (1992) and sequel (1994) and third (1996)
Summary:
A trial lawyer gets community service and its assignment is quite unique: he must coach a team of pee wee hockey players. He will try turning them into champions.

Summary:
The story of legend hockey player Richard "The Rocket" who played with finesse and speed.
MVP: Most valuable primate (2000)
Summary:
The chimpanzee Jack escaped from a lab and ends up at a junior hockey practice. The team discovers he has talent for the game and he joins the team.
Mr Hockey: The Gordie Howe story (2013)
Summary:
Based on a true story - In 1973 legend Gordie Howe returns to the ice at the age of 44 since retirement did not suit him.
Breakaway (2011)
Summary:
A hockey player with a dead-end job tries to win the biggest tournament of the year with an all Indian team and the help of a former pro-player.
Indian horse (2018)
Summary:
A talented hockey player looking for his path.
The last big save (2019)
Summary:
A hockey player signs a long-term contract. He ruins his first year due to substance abuse. But during the last year of his deal, he is looking for redemption.
Skating to New York (2014)
Summary:
A coming of age movie. 5 teenage boys leave their small Canadian town to reach New York. They do so by risking skating across Lake Ontario on the coldest day of the year.

Soul on ice, past, present and Future (2015)
The unknown contributions of black athletes in ice hockey.
Father of Hockey (2014)
Summary:
It retraces the Battle for Hockey's Hall of fame. Captain James Sutherland believed Kingston Ontario could be the 'Cooperstown' of hockey. What he unleashed was a battle over the origins of the game and where best to honor hockey's greatest players.
Of Miracles and Men (2015)
Summary:
Part of ESPN’s 30 for 30 docuseries - the story of one of the greatest upsets in hockey history. It focus on the Soviet side of the 1980 Winter Olympics.
The Last Gladiators (2013)
Summary:
A deep dive into the history of the enforcers in hockey. The central figure of the documentary is Chris “Knuckles” Nilan from the Montreal Canadiens.
Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story (2019)

Summary:
Documentary about the Mount Saint Charles Academy in Rhode island and its hockey team.
Kings Ransom (2009)
Summary:

Summary:
Documentary on the career of Derek Boogaard and his tragic death.

Summary:
